Zappe Family - Our Story

Zappe Hat Co was born from a name that means more than just a brand—it’s a legacy. Our roots trace back to Zappe Ranch, established in 1935 by our great-grandfather, William “Bill” Zappe, Jr. He was a man of grit and character, the kind of Texan who defined what hard work really looked like.

Even into his eighties, Bill Zappe could still be found outside, working the land he loved. He could drive a nail with a single swing, break a horse with patience and toughness, and put in the kind of days that most men half his age couldn’t match. His life was a testament to determination, strength, and pride in carrying the family name forward.

We created Zappe Hat Co to honor that spirit and carry on his legacy in a new way. Our hats and western clothing are more than just apparel—they’re a reflection of the values passed down from our family’s ranch: authenticity, resilience, and staying true to where you come from.
